About artist Jacqueline Schäfer 
Artist Jacqueline Schäfer lives and works in Amsterdam. In 1989 she completed her final examination at Gerrit Rietveld Academy. Until her studies, painting was mostly something she did for herself and shared only with few others. When she discovered that painting is also a means of communication, painting gave her an extra dimension.

During her studies, she was looking for a shape language that matched her. She found her own style and developed it over the years. Through the game of clear shapes, bright colors and highly defined black contours divided into harmonious colors, her work is now recognizable. Jacqueline has chosen the figurative but not realistic image. She creates a world in which the shapes of her characters are recognizable and very individual. Since 2004 the artist also has figurines. From all her work, Schäfer clearly describes bright and positive love for life in a complex modern society.
